Every year, the fine folks at USA Today publish their projected standings for the upcoming MLB season. These often aren’t subject to the same computerized rigors of systems like PECOTA or ZiPS — they did pick the White Sox to make the playoffs last season, after all — but are projections all the same.
Most Detroit Tigers fans are probably expecting a second place finish in 2017, but missing the playoffs for a third consecutive season would be a major disappointment.
What do you think? Will the Tigers finish above .500? Will the National League pan out exactly as it did in 2016? Are the Royals a legitimate threat in the AL Central? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
