Loot Crate is launching a Detroit Tigers baseball subscription box

Nerds of the world are well aware of the monthly Loot Crate subscription box. It’s a wonderful service that ships themed goodies right to your doorstep once a month, including collectibles, t-shirts, posters, and sometimes promotional freebies (think: a free month of an online game, etc).

Now the folks at Loot Crate are jumping into the world of sports fandom and launching Sports Crate. The initial wave of ten boxes will all be MLB-themed, featuring officially licensed exclusive gear from the Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers. Each box is team-focused and will feature apparel, and collectibles. Possibly most intriguing, is the chance to win “VIP one-of-a-kind experiences.” It’s being hinted that this could include something like warming up with the team before a game, sitting in the dugout, or throwing the first pitch at a game, which is a lot cooler than a t-shirt.

Sports Crate provided a sneak peek at the Justin Verlander figurine that would be included in the Tigers box.
