There are two truths we can accept without question when it comes to spring training. The first: watching Max Scherzer strike guys out is magic. The second: it’s even better when the person he’s striking out is Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow hits against Max Scherzer.

It's fun and eventful, and for Tim, it doesn't go well. pic.twitter.com/4oZabpjOYS
Max Scherzer, two-time Cy Young Award winner and undefeated Coolest Eyes in Baseball Award winner missed the first few weeks of spring training — and a chance to pitch in the World Baseball Classic — due to a stress fracture in his knuckle. He’s back to work for the Nationals now, and clearly his stuff is just as filthy as ever.
Tim Tebow, the name people can’t stop talking about because the At Bat app reminds us every time he takes a swing, looks positively minor league against Scherzer’s fastball. Tebow will start the regular season with the Class-A Columbia Fireflies.
Now go ahead and watch that clip another dozen times.
