Toledo Mud Hens 6, Indianapolis Indians 3 (box)
John Hicks and Efren Navarro each drove in a pair of runs in the first inning, sending the Mud Hens out to an early 4-0 lead. After the Indians pulled within one in the middle innings, Navarro hit a second two-run homer to give Toledo some breathing room. Blaine Hardy notched the win in a bullpen game for the Mud Hens, throwing 3 2⁄3 innings of scoreless ball. Arcenio Leon logged his third save of the year.

Erie SeaWolves 5, Binghamton Rumble Ponies 1 (box)
The Erie offense scored in each of the first four innings, and their pitching staff shut the door the rest of the way to clinch a series win over the Rumble Ponies. Jeff McVaney led the way with a two-run home run in the top of the first, while Christin Stewart drove in a run later in the game. Matt Crouse allowed a run on four hits in five innings for the win.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 10, Charlotte Stone Crabs 2 (box)
The Stone Crabs opened up an early 2-1 lead, but the Flying Tigers offense immediately answered with two runs in the top of the fourth before pouring it on afterward. Wade Hinkle drove in four of Lakeland’s 10 runs, and Will Maddox and Austin Green had a pair of RBI apiece. Matt Hall shook off his early struggles to strike out six in five innings for the win.

West Michigan Whitecaps 6, South Bend Cubs 5 (box)
The Whitecaps coughed up a three-run lead in the middle innings, but Daniel Pinero’s RBI double in the eighth inning delivered a close win over the Cubs. Pinero was 3-for-4 with two doubles on the day. Jacob Robson and Cole Bauml also had multi-hit games at the top of West Michigan’s lineup, and third baseman Anthony Pereira drove in two runs. Anthony Castro struggled in his second start of the year, walking four in three innings of work.
