The Tigers-affiliated Toledo Mud Hens revealed a jersey themed after the Beatles’ 1967 release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. And it is either an early favorite for best alternative jersey worn by a minor league team in 2017, or evidence the average age of baseball fans is, shall we say, creeping up a bit. Possibly near 64.

Beatles Night will be played on Friday, June 16, with the Mud Hens hosting the Durham Bulls, and, should be pretty fun. The Mud Hens also have one of the better minor league stadiums and fan experiences — and I’m not being paid to say that! — so you should probably find a way around the construction on I-75 and check it out.
No word when “Black Beatles” night will be held yet, but I’m sure they’re just waiting for a good time for the reveal.
