MLB: Chicago White Sox at Detroit Tigers Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Miguel Cabrera doubled twice in his first two at-bats against the White Sox on Friday to reach the 1,000 career extra-base hit mark. He joined Albert Pujols, Carlos Beltran and Adrian Beltre as only the fourth active player at that mark.

Cabrera has now hit 532 doubles to go with 451 home runs and 17 triples in his career. Most (669) of those came in the Detroit uniform.

The Tigers lead a billion to one after two and a half innings.
