Everything you need to know about the 2017 Bless You Boys meet-up

The 2017 Bless You Boys meet-up is all set for Saturday, August 19, when the Tigers will host the red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers at Comerica Park. The game time is 4:05 p.m. Our group will be meeting before the game at Nemo’s Bar and Restaurant, located at 1384 Michigan Avenue, just one block east of the old Tiger Stadium grounds.

Even if you are not going to the game or sitting with the group, feel free to stop by before the game and meet some of your fellow BYB staffers and readers. We will start gathering around 1:00 p.m. Nemo’s is within walking distance of the ballpark for those who are so inclined.

It’s also Alan Trammell bobble head doll night on Saturday. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a free figurine of the should-be Hall of Fame shortstop. Many from our group will be heading to the ballpark early to snag one of those.

The Dodgers own Major League Baseball’s best record by quite a margin, and are on pace to easily record over 100 victories for the season. They are currently 84-34, the first team in Los Angeles history to be 50 games over .500.

Nemo’s offers free parking and you can get a $3.00 bus ride to and from the game. Buses run from 90 minutes before game time for as long as necessary. Nemo’s has great burgers and drinks as well.
