Rookie dress-up is one of the most oft retweeted and discussed points of the year. With the MLB establishing the Anti-Hazing and Anti-Bullying policy that mandates the rookies won’t be “dressing up as women or wearing costumes that may be offensive to individuals based on their race, sex, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or other characteristic,” teams are getting more creative with the costumes, while still maintaining a lighthearted, fun approach to the tradition.
The Tigers, preparing to leave on their final road trip of the season, are among the most recent teams to post the results of their rookie dress-up online.

The easiest member to identify is JaCoby “the Elf” Jones. Daniel Stumpf is Rudolph out front. New acquisitions Jeimer Candelario and Victor Alcantara, as well as Jairo Labourt, Joe Jimenez, Zac Reininger, John Hicks, Warwick Saupold, and Jeff Ferell are among the reindeer.
(Thanks for tagging everyone, JaCoby)
This was a departure from past years’ dress up events, but the results were a lot of fun. Good to see the rookies being good sports.
