State of the blog: What do you want to see from Bless You Boys in 2018?

BYB is entering its 13th full season and we need your suggestions!

MLB: San Francisco Giants at Detroit Tigers Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The 2018 season is a pivotal one for the Detroit Tigers. They are just beginning a long-needed rebuild, and have several goals to meet even if they will not compete for a playoff spot. From acquiring young, cost-controlled talent to developing current players to fixing their analytics department, the Tigers have their work cut out for them too.

Here at Bless You Boys, we’re also entering a bit of a transition year. Don’t worry, no one is going anywhere, but this is the first time since our site’s creation that fans truly expect the Tigers to be bad. Like the Tigers, we need to find different ways to be successful. Luckily, we already have the young, cost-controlled (for better or worse) talent we need.

But we need your help! As we’ve done before, we’re asking for your input on what we should do this season. Do we need to focus more on prospects? Change our gameday coverage? Pivot to video? We’ll roll out our prospect rankings in February, with team and player previews to follow shortly after.

Most of all, thanks for reading! Let’s make 2018 a great season for BYB, even if the Tigers don’t do so well.
