Earlier this week, the Detroit Tigers announced changes to their jerseys and caps. The biggest change involved the Olde English D on the chest of the home jerseys — specifically, the team will be changing the ‘D’ to match the one that has been on their caps since 1968. Opinions were mixed, with some approving of the change while others wanting no alterations whatsoever to the best uniform in sports.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are also altering their caps slightly, and, well...
And there's your difference in the size of the D on the new #Tigers caps. Horrific. (Photo by @evanwoodbery) pic.twitter.com/fJqjAqJvhH

The cap on the right in the image above is the new version, and it is... large.
The Tigers have made questionable decisions when it comes to their caps in recent years, but they had previously relegated them to the abominations we see during spring training. Now, they will be wearing caps that, as many fans have already pointed out, look like they can be purchased at a highway truck stop.
the one on the right is the kind you can get at a kiosk or gas station, right?

Gas station style. Ridiculous idea that won’t last

Never thought I’d say having a bigger D was a bad thing
