Truck day, truck day!
Following close on the heels of the winter caravan, and TigerFest, truck day arrives like the first green buds on a tree, like the first signs of grass sprouting after a long winter. Truly, aside from one pitchers and catchers arrive for their first workouts in Lakeland, there might be nothing better for an eager baseball fan than truck day.
Sure, it’s just equipment being loaded onto a semi, with the assistance of Paws, but that equipment belongs to the players. There are bags filled with gloves and cleats. Boxes filled with dozens and dozens of baseballs. Stickers mark locker names.
This is the end of winter, and the beginning of baseball season. How can you not get excited about that?
