FanPost Friday: 5 bold predictions for the Tigers in 2018

Now is the best time to start making crazy predictions.

Opening Day was delayed by rain on Thursday, as if Mother Nature herself was mocking Tigers’ fans. The winter dragged out long and cold, and just as it seemed our long wait was over: nope, wait one more day.

On the plus side, the Tigers are still perfect as far as their win-loss record goes, so that’s a nice bonus. Detroit will take the field on Friday, and we want to know what your biggest, boldest, weirdest predictions for the 2018 season are.

Let’s have fun with this, too. You can predict things like a 60-win season, but that’s depressing. Why not go nuts and suggest Nicholas Castellanos wins a defensive Gold Glove, or Jordan Zimmermann has a 21-win season?

The only rule of this is that your predictions need to be legitimately achievable in baseball, however unlikely. So, no, the Tigers will not use actual Phil Coke as a bullpen cart, but if you want to predict they sign Phil Coke as a reliever, that allowed.
