Toledo Mud Hens 10, Louisville Bats 4 (box)
The Mud Hens opened a big ol’ can of whoop-ass on the Bats in this one. They launched six home runs, including a pair by Christin Stewart, the International League’s hottest hitter. Ronny Rodriguez also cracked two long balls out of the leadoff spot. The Bats made a game of it until the Hens erupted again for a five-run sixth inning to put them away for good. Drew VerHagen and Artie Lewicki combined to strikeout 10 Bats, and each allowed a pair of runs.
