Watch Niko Goodrum hit his team-leading 5th homer of the season

Goodrum’s two-run shot helped carry the Tigers to a 4-1 win.

The Detroit Tigers notched a big 4-1 win on Wednesday, snapping a five-game losing streak. Not only did it stop their recent skid, but they also avoided a sweep at the hands of their division rivals, and gave them some potential momentum heading into this weekend’s homestand.

At the center of Detroit’s win was Niko Goodrum, who belted his team-leading fifth home run of the year. Yup, you read that right. No Tigers player has more home runs than Goodrum this year.

Okay, so maybe he’s tied with four other players. But that still counts, right?
