Tigers 9, Angels 3: Offense explodes in Memorial Day romp over Anaheim

James McCann hit a grand slam in the third inning to open up an early 5-0 lead for the Detroit Tigers. A strong effort from Matthew Boyd and capable mop-up work from the bullpen held the Angels at bay, and the Tigers offense scored some insurance runs late to clinch a 9-3 win on Memorial Day.

Like most of you, the BYB staff are out enjoying company and celebrating Memorial Day with family and friends. We’ll have more analysis later.
