FanPost Friday: Let’s make some trades!

The deadline looms, so why don’t we play GM?

Many teams are starting to make moves as the July trade deadline looms.

The Tigers are not among them. Yet.

The trade rumors for the Tigers have been circulating like mad since before the season started. It took a stint on the disabled list to calm the torrent of speculation around Michael Fulmer. The only thing that’s keeping Matthew Boyd and Francisco Liriano in a Tigers uniform right now is poor recent performance. For Jordan Zimmermann, it’s the price tag.

Other guys have dazzled. Jose Iglesias and Leonys Martin are certainly on the radar for teams who want defensive prowess.

Still, things have been quiet so far on the trade front for a team that most expected would sell anyone and everyone they heard a decent offer in. Trades are likely coming, but at this point they won’t be terribly exciting ones.

So rather than wait for the real deal, we decided it might be fun to do some hypothetical trades. No one is off limits. You just have to pick the player (or a package deal of players), choose the trade partner, and let us know what you’d expect in return.

Head over to the FanPosts section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and tell us what you would do if you got to mastermind the ultimate GM deal.
