The Lakeland Flying Tigers were drubbed 8-0 on Tuesday, but that’s not even close to the whole story. Casey Mize, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s MLB draft, made his High-A debut with the Flygers in this game. The score suggests it didn’t go well, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Mize racked up a bunch of swinging strikes (as you will see below) en route to three scoreless innings before all hell broke loose after he departed the game.
You might want to sit down before you click play, though. The following video is rather gruesome to watch... for those poor opposing hitters.
