FanPost Friday: Make your 2018 MLB All-Star roster

Voting has now closed for the popular vote round of the All-Star Game selection, meaning we’ll soon find out which incredibly obvious players will be heading to the field later this month in Washington, D.C.

But let’s say popularity wasn’t the name of the game, and you could pick an All-Star team based on, perhaps, merits or something similar. Heck, you could pick them based solely on just liking certain players more. Or a team that maybe features at least one Detroit Tigers player.

What would your perfect 2018 All-Star team look like? We’ll even throw in a starting pitcher option, which is more than the real fan vote gets you.
