The 2018 top draft pick pitched two innings against Southeastern University — the third and fourth. He allowed three hits, all during a two-out rally in the latter frame, and permitted a lone run to cross the plate in the process. None of the contact against Mize was particularly hard during either inning, and he managed to work out of the jam before any more damage could be done.
The Tigers would go on to win the game, 13-2.
