April baseball is here! Well, sort of. The Detroit Tigers’ Saturday game against the Chicago White Sox has been postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams will make up the game on Tuesday, August 6 in a mid-week doubleheader at Comerica Park. Daniel Norris, originally scheduled to start on Saturday, will start Sunday’s series finale.
Luckily, it looks like the teams should have no problem getting that one in. Forecasts call for partly sunny skies and a high of 66 degrees on Sunday, much better than the 40-degree slop Michigan is seeing right now. One wonders why the teams don’t just play the doubleheader tomorrow, but whatever.
In the meantime, use this as a rainy day open thread. There are sports aplenty happening, from baseball all day long to playoff hockey and basketball later this afternoon. The Detroit Pistons are in action at 8:00 p.m., so make sure to stop by Detroit Bad Boys for full coverage there. And I hear the Red Wings did something exciting yesterday, too. Winging It In Motown has you covered there.
