For the second time in three days, the Detroit Tigers are rained out. Monday’s series opener between the Tigers and the Boston Red Sox has been postponed, according to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo. The two teams will play a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday, with the first game scheduled for 1:05 p.m. The night game will start at 7:10 p.m.
At the moment, the pitching matchups for the first two games of this series appear intact. Matthew Boyd and Chris Sale will start the first game of the doubleheader for their respective clubs, while Spencer Turnbull and Hector Velazquez will pitch the nightcap.
