During Monday’s Memorial Day game against the Baltimore Orioles, Tigers second baseman Josh Harrison slid into third base, and shortly thereafter exited the game, showing obvious signs of discomfort as Ron Gardenhire escorted him off the field.
While it initially seemed likely that the slide must have resulted in a hand or wrist injury, after the game ended it was announced that he had experienced a hamstring injury.
It’s a hamstring injury for Harrison. With Memorial Day, hard to get an MRI. Know more tomorrow relative to possible IL.

While the Tigers wait for an MRI to determine the extent of the damage, Harrison will be day-to-day. Once they know what the severity of the injury is, they can better assess a need for another trip to the IL for the team’s second baseman.
