Watch Tigers prospect Nick Quintana hit the first home run of his pro career

The Tigers’ second round pick went yard for the Whitecaps on Tuesday evening.

Nick Quintana, the Detroit Tigers’ second round pick in the 2019 MLB draft, hit the first home run of his professional career on Tuesday evening. Quintana, playing in Single-A ball with the West Michigan Whitecaps, hit a solo home run to deep left field in the sixth inning to give the ‘Caps a 2-1 lead over Dayton.

Quintana added an RBI single in the eighth to pad West Michigan’s lead. He is hitting .286 with a .944 OPS through his first five games as a pro.
