Jake Rogers just hit his first career home run and you’re going to want to watch it again

Rogers took Angels lefthander José Suarez deep for a solo shot in the second inning.

Amid all of the excitement surrounding Wednesday’s MLB trade deadline, there is still actual baseball going on. This includes our beloved Detroit Tigers, who called up top catching prospect Jake Rogers on Tuesday. The young backstop enjoyed a solid debut, collecting his first career hit and RBI. Rogers added his second of both on Wednesday afternoon, launching a Jose Suarez fastball into the left field seats for his first career home run.

Rogers didn’t get cheated either.
