Outfielder Riley Greene, the Tigers’ 2019 first round pick and top position player prospect, was promoted to Single-A West Michigan on Wednesday evening. He celebrated his Whitecaps debut with an inside-the-park home run, because that’s just a normal thing for a top prospect to do.
What a way to cap off your Whitecaps debut, @Greene21Riley !

I’m not sure about the defense here — or those uniforms, Whitecaps — but an inside-the-parker is an inside-the-parker. Greene added another hit and drove in a second run via a sacrifice fly. He also flashed the leather, making a diving catch out in center field.
Welcome to the @wmwhitecaps, Riley Greene!

Not only does the #Tigers' 1st-round #MLBDraft pick have his first Class A RBI, but he also made this ridiculous catch in center in his first game since promotion.

Unfortunately, the Whitecaps pitching staff gave up nine runs in a 9-6 loss.
