The most wonderful four words of the offseason can now officially be spoken: pitchers and catchers report.
On Tuesday morning, the first of the Tigers team arrived officially in Lakeland, FL, and with them, the end of winter (okay, not really, but you know what I mean). There are few things more exciting than the arrival of the first players. No matter what the expectations are for the team in the regular season, the first spring workouts mean that baseball is back, and anything is possible.
If you’re anything like me, the first sights and sounds of spring training are something you wait all winter for, so wait no more, we’ve got some early highlights of day one.

Reporter Chris McCosky has already observed a unique new development for returning bullpen pitchers Alex Wilson.
Looks like Alex Wilson has brought a new tool to camp. He’s working on a sidearm delivery.

Casey Mize took time to chat with the gathered media, and had a bit of insight on what the Tigers next number one pick in the draft should do to prepare.
Casey Mize's advice for this year's MLB Draft No. 1 pick candidates: "Just focus on what you’re trying to do in college and try to win. That’ll solve a lot of issues that come with being thought of that highly and having that pressure. Just try to win as much as you can."
