For baseball fans, summertime is all about trips to the ballpark. It’s hoping in the car and getting to a new stadium for the first time to cheer on the Tigers and rile up the home crowd a little. It’s enjoying overpriced beer and dollar hot dogs, truly a July meal made in heaven.
We gather together to root-root-root for the home team, and groan or cheer along with our fellow fans as a home run is either robbed or makes it over the outfield wall. We celebrate and bond with our friends and family, and create the kind of memories that last a lifetime.
Since baseball looks a lot different this year, the only way most fans are getting into a stadium is with a cardboard cutout that looks like them. It’s hard to imagine a whole summer going by without a day at Comerica Park, so this week, our FanPost prompt aims to remember some of the best memories our readers have of going to ball games.
Head on over to the FanPost section, select “New FanPost” on the left, and then tell us what made your list of most memorable days, whether at Comerica Park or any other stadium you’ve been to.
