Potential Trade Partner: New York Yankees

The Trade: Daniel Norris and full salary relief to NYY for Adam Ottovino and Oswald Peraza

In essence, Detroit buys a highly-regarded shortstop prospect for about $12million total. He's young, but talented, with an all-fields power approach, a smooth glove, and speed, ranking as the 4th prospect in New York's decent system, likely just outside the top-100 list and should advance as he develops. He's expected to stick at SS and has 20 home run potential. The upside is real, and let's be honest, we have no more than 2 actual shortstop prospects with any semblance of a bat. Ottovino (and his $9mil salary) help shore up a bullpen that was surprisingly solid last year. In return, the Yankees get a solid long reliever with swingman potential, and enough salary relief to go out and buy someone like Garret Richards to fill out their rotation without going over the salary 'cap'.
