What a weekend! There’s so much to be said and to appreciate about Miguel Cabrera hitting his 500th home run, and getting that much closer to his all-but-certain Hall of Fame entry. As Tigers fans, it feels joyous getting to celebrate such an enormous feat in what already feels like a turning point season for the Tigers. But we aren’t the only ones experiencing the thrill alongside Miggy.
Yesterday, celebratory messages and videos from former Tigers, other members of the 500 club, and even celebrities began pouring in via social media. So we put them all together for you to enjoy.
First off, before we get into the kudos, enjoy this behind the scenes footage from the Tigers clubhouse following the game. Make sure to swipe through the different options for a speech from AJ Hinch.
From JV to Miggy.

Earlier this year @MiguelCabrera passed Babe Ruth in all time hits.- I said “Babe Ruth, huh? That’s pretty cool”- he looked at me and said “yah, that’s pretty cool, huh?”

Miggy. Thank you for your friendship & for letting me witness history in baseball. A dream that we dream.

.@MiguelCabrera becomes the 28th player in history to join the 500 home run club! The Venezuelan hit a walk-off homer in his big league debut in 2003. In 2012, during his MVP season, he became the first Triple Crown winner in 45 years Congrats on 500, Miggy! @tigers pic.twitter.com/Bjc4shXx6C

It wasn’t just players, as Tigers superfan, actor Jeff Daniels, had his own reaction.
Someone call Cooperstown. #Miggy500

Jeff Daniels was just one of many local Detroit celebs who wanted to wish Miggy well.
When you hit HR #500, the stars from your adoptive city tend to want to wish you congrats. Detroit has quite a few famous personalities and they were kind enough to take a moment to wish Miggy well on his historic moment. #DetroitRoots | #Miggy500 | @tigers pic.twitter.com/gVV74nm6f6

And beloved Tigers artist Roar of the Tigers might be the reason it happened on Sunday.
FINALLY 500. Probably only happened cause I decided to work on this during the game today, just sayin. pic.twitter.com/fDikM0jdRe

And since no one caught the big game ball... it was pretty easy to get it back.
