Harris brought in assistant GM Rob Metzler to oversee both domestic and international scouting, but left most of the Tigers’ international infrastructure in place.

Given the relative lack of success in the past not sure this was a good idea.

This however, is good news and a correct step to take.

Moore said the Tigers are expanding the international department by adding an analyst who works exclusively in international scouting. They’re also hiring video and data employees.

I hope this doesn't mean we didn't have any before but I suspect we didn't.
