The All star break is over, and major league baseball’s non waiver trade deadline (July 31st) is fast approaching. The conventional wisdom is that the Tigers would like to acquire some bullpen help, among other things.

BYB has provided analysis of several options- relief pitchers who might be available if their teams are willing to trade them. So here’s the $64,000.00 question. Which, if any, relief pitcher would you like to see the Tigers acquire in the next couple of weeks?

Take everything into consideration, including what the Tigers might have to give up in terms of prospects or other players, and what role the new player might play on the Tigers. They can go for a closer, or a set up man, or just another middle reliever.

To assist with your analysis, I give you a categorized list of candidates, with links to the BYB analysis if you click on their names. Here is another link to a pretty good sortable chart of statistics for relievers via Fangraphs.com. I’ll throw in a couple of names from this chart into the fan poll below. From Aardsma to Wilhelmsen, take your pick.
