Toledo, Erie and the GCL Tigers all won during yesterday's action. Connecticut was postponed due to rain. Continuing his rehab assignment, Alex Avila hit a three-run home run for the Mud Hens. It was a big day for the long ball across the entire system, as prospects Nick Castellanos, Jordan Lennerton, Eugenio Suarez, James McCan, Tyler Collins and Jeff Holm all homered for their respected affiliates.

Triple-A: Toledo Mud Hens (33-50)

W, 10-6 vs. Pawtucket. Continuing his rehab assignment, Alex Avila hit a three-run home run. Nick Castellanos, Jordan Lennerton and Ben Guez also hit home runs for the Mud Hens. Pat Misch earned the win for Toledo. Jackie Bradley Jr., Will Middlebrooks and Bryce Brentz, who are all highly thought of prospects in Boston’s organization, combined for five hits and two RBI.

James McCan hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning and Eugenio Suarez hit a solo home run in the sixth inning. Will Startup pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the SeaWolves to earn the win.

Wilsen Palacios was charged with the loss after pitching seven innings and allowing three runs. Lakeland recorded seven hits in the loss.

The Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 2-1 lead. They tacked on four more runs in the fifth inning and cruised to the finish line.
