Minor League Recaps 6/30

All four of the affiliates that were in action yesterday lost. Lakeland's game against Brevard County was suspended during the second inning. The Flying Tigers trail 6-0 in that contest, and play will be resumed later today. The GCL Tigers had the day off. And continuing his rehab assignment, Alex Avila had a nice day and went 2-4.

Triple-A: Toledo Mud Hens (34-51)

L, 5-0 vs. Lehigh Valley. The Mud Hens were shutdown in this contest, as they only recorded three hits. However, Alex Avila was a huge bright spot in the loss. Continuing his rehab assignment, Avila went 2-4. Alex has now notched seven hits in his last twenty-one at-bats for Toledo. In that same span, he also has two doubles and a home run.

L, 2-0 vs. Richmond. The SeaWolves fell behind early, and were only able to record six hits. However, Eugenio Suarez had a nice day. Suarez went 2-3 with a double, and also coaxed a walk. Will Clinard pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in relief.
