The GCL Tigers split their doubleheader with the GCL Phillies. Lakeland was the only other affiliate to win during yesterday's action and Toledo had the day off. First-round selection Jonathon Crawford started for Connecticut and tossed one scoreless frame.

Double-A: Erie SeaWolves (48-45)

L, 12-4 vs. Akron. Erie took an early 3-0 lead, but a seven-run eighth inning put the game out of reach. Drew VerHagen started for the SeaWolves and was roughed up for five runs over 4 2/3 innings. Eugenio Suarez and Wade Gaynor both drove in two runs apiece.
