L, 6-3 vs. Durham. Jair Jurrjens made his return to the Detroit organization. Luke Putkonen, Darin Downs, Jose Ortega and Jose Valverde also all pitched for Toledo. Jordan Lennerton had a big day at the plate, as the first basemen went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Nick Castellanos was with his wife – who was going into labor.

W, 3-1 vs. Great Lakes. West Michigan’s two-run first inning was the difference in the ballgame, as the Loons were held to just one run on six hits. Endrys Briceno earned the win for West Michigan by tossing five innings of one-run ball. Corey Knebel struck out two batters in the ninth en route to earning his tenth professional save.

Will LaMarche – who threw two scoreless innings in relief – earned the win for the Tigers. Zac Reininger then notched his fifth save of the season by tossing a clean ninth inning.
