Other than Erie nearly being no-hit, Wednesday was a good day in the minors for the Tigers.
Toledo Mud Hens 9, Columbus Clippers 4 (box)
Nick Castellanos hit his ninth home run of the season and had three hits. The newest Mud Hen, former Michigan Wolverine Mike Cervenak, added three hits and two runs while Brandon Douglas rounded out the three-hit trio. Derek Hanks allowed three runs in eight innings before Bruce Rondon struggled a bit.
Also, Bruce Rondon has walked the bases loaded.

Portland SeaDogs 6, Erie Seawolves 0 (box)
Hernan Perez broke up a perfect game by SeaDogs starter Drake Britton with a double in the bottom of the seventh inning. Eugenio Suarez had the only other hit for Erie. Warwick Saupold allowed six runs in six innings.
Lakeland Flying Tigers 4, St. Lucie Mets 2 (box)
Lakeland put up a four-spot in the sixth inning to erase an early deficit. Jeff McVaney, Jason Krizan, and Chad Wright had RBIs for the Flying Tigers. Drew VerHagen allowed two runs in the first inning, but settled down to pitch through the seventh. Florida State League All-Star Melvin Mercedes picked up his ninth save.
West Michigan Whitecaps 8, Great Lakes Loons 3 (box)
Jason King hit a three run homer and added a fourth RBI on a single in the sixth inning. Lance Durham had two RBI, while Austin Schotts and Danry Vasquez added an RBI apiece. Jordan John allowed eight hits and three walks in 5 2/3 innings, but only gave up two runs.
